Hill Country Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

Mission Statement:  Hill Country CASA is a nonprofit organization which provides trained, court appointed volunteers to serve children who are victims of abuse or neglect in Kerr, Kendall, Bandera and Gillespie counties. Our volunteers work with the courts to advocate for the overall well being of these children.

Bridging the Gap

Other Needs:  adults who are willing to work in pairs to facilitate bereavement groups for children.

 

 

Mission Statement:  Bridging the Gap is a community service of Peterson Regional Medical Center designed to help children, between grades K-12, who are grieving the death of a loved one. Volunteer facilitators receive 5 nights of training on children's grief and then work 6 consecutive Tuesday nights from early October to right before Thanksgiving with children divided up by age groups. There is no previous experience required, just a desire to help grieving children.  

Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas
